❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. Are these real gemstones or real gold?
A. No. Hafsa is imitation jewellery. The stones are white Kundan, set by hand over foil rather than cut as gemstones, and the metal is an alloy and brass base with a matt gold-tone polish over it. It is not gold, and we say so plainly rather than leave it to be assumed.
Q. What is foil Kundan?
A. Kundan is a traditional setting technique where each stone is seated by hand over a thin sheet of reflective foil. The foil bounces light back through the stone, which is why Kundan glows from within rather than sparkling on the surface the way a faceted stone does. It also means the stones are not cut gems — they are set for depth of colour, not fire.
Q. What metal is it made of?
A. An alloy and brass mix with a matt gold-tone polish. Matt means the finish is soft rather than mirror-bright, which is what gives it a more traditional look than a high-shine bangle.
Q. What size is it, and will it fit me?
A. Size 2.4, the most commonly worn Indian bangle size. Because it opens rather than being a closed bangle, it is more forgiving on the wrist than a fixed 2.4 — you do not have to get it over the knuckle.
Q. Does it open?
A. Yes. It opens at the clasp, so it goes on and comes off on your own with nobody to help you. Open and close it at the clasp rather than pulling the band apart.
Q. Is this one bracelet or a pair?
A. One bracelet. If you want a matched pair for both wrists, or a stack, message us on WhatsApp before you order and we will tell you what we have.
Q. What occasions does it suit?
A. Weddings, sangeets, festive functions and parties. A single Kundan bangle sits well on its own at a daytime function, and stacks into something more substantial for an evening one.
Q. What should I wear it with?
A. Silk and Banarasi sarees take it best, and it suits deep red, maroon, cream, ivory and bottle green. Because the gold is matt rather than bright, it sits more comfortably against a heavy woven fabric than against a high-shine one.
Q. Will the polish come off?
A. With heavy or repeated wear the finish will dull — imitation jewellery made in India is not anti-tarnish, and we would rather tell you than promise otherwise. Put it on last and take it off first, keep it away from water, sweat and perfume, wipe it with a soft dry cloth and store it sealed, and the finish holds for a long time.
Q. Can I pay on delivery?
A. Yes, COD is available across India, and an additional COD charge may apply. Depending on the order value, the delivery pin code and its return history, your past orders, and the festive season, we may ask for a small advance before dispatch. Our team will confirm this with you on phone or WhatsApp before the order ships.
Q. Is shipping free?
A. Yes, shipping is free on all prepaid orders across India. An additional charge may apply on COD orders.
